with third generation wood and stone carver, Sampa Lhundup.
Sampa will lead a two day workshop where participants use handmade tools to carve buddhist mantras in stone to create their own Mani Stone.
The two day workshop will offer instruction in the safe use of hand carving tools for stone and the expertise to help you make your own Mani Stone. In addition to workshop instruction, a traditional Tibetan lunch, tea, and snacks will be offered both days.
No prior carving experience is necessary. To carve beside a master like Sampa is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Come explore the beauty and joy of Tibetan culture through the meditative process of carving your own Mani Stone.

Bronze sculpture workshop with
noted Northwest sculptor, Jeff Day,

Sculptor Jeff Day will lead a small workshop introducing lost wax bronze casting by teaching the elements of design as they apply to creating a bronze sculpture.
In the process, participants will design, form, and finish a bronze sculpture of their own.
